UConn’s women’s basketball team, ranked No. 1, secured an 84-39 victory over Georgetown in the Big East tournament quarterfinals, extending their winning streak to 48 games. Serah Williams led with 14 points, followed by Sarah Strong with 11 and Azzi Fudd with 10. UConn dominated, leading 47-18 at halftime and holding Georgetown to just one field goal in the third quarter. Georgetown’s season ends with a 14-17 record, while UConn advances to the semifinals against either Marquette or Creighton.
