The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially released veteran tight end Jonnu Smith, a move anticipated following reports earlier in the week. Smith, who had one year left on his contract, will allow the team to save $7 million against the salary cap while incurring $3.87 million in dead money. Acquired from the Dolphins in the 2025 offseason, he recorded 38 catches for 222 yards and two touchdowns in 17 games last season.
