The Cleveland Browns are releasing veteran offensive tackle Cornelius Lucas, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Lucas, 34, joined the team last March on a two-year deal, and his release will save the Browns approximately $1.8 million against the 2026 salary cap, incurring $1.6 million in dead money. This decision aligns with the Browns’ efforts to restructure their offensive line under new head coach Todd Monken. Over his career, Lucas has played in 138 games with 59 starts across multiple NFL teams.
