After an early playoff exit in 2025, the New York Yankees have re-signed former MVP Paul Goldschmidt to a one-year deal, with financial terms undisclosed. Goldschmidt, 38, is coming off one of the worst seasons of his career, having hit only 10 home runs and 45 RBI in 146 games. The Yankees hope he can regain his form from his previous successful stints with the Arizona Diamondbacks and St. Louis Cardinals. Goldschmidt initially joined New York in December 2024.
