The 12th pick in the 2024 NBA draft missed the previous season due to a knee injury and this season after a cancer diagnosis, undergoing treatment and chemotherapy. He entered the game against the Milwaukee Bucks to a warm ovation, scoring his first basket early in the second quarter. Recently, he had seven points and seven assists in a G League game with the Oklahoma City Blue.
