Watch Sharks star Macklin Celebrini score in Team Canada’s opening Olympic win originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area
Sharks star Macklin Celebrini made a spectacular Olympic debut, scoring Team Canada’s first goal in a 5-0 victory over Team Czechia. The 19-year-old’s deflection of Cale Makar’s shot marked him as one of only four teenagers to score in their first Olympic period. Celebrini, currently fourth in NHL points, aims to elevate the Sharks’ playoff hopes after the Olympics. Team Canada will face Team Switzerland next.
