Wes Welker has been appointed to the Commanders’ offensive staff for the 2026 season, as reported by JP Finlay. Previously, Welker served as a wide receivers coach for the San Francisco 49ers and Miami Dolphins before joining Washington as a personnel assistant in 2025. Now, he will work under the new offensive coordinator, David Blough. Welker, a former NFL wide receiver, began his career with the Chargers and is known for his successful tenure with the Patriots.
