Pakistan has reversed its decision to boycott the T20 World Cup match against India, following discussions between cricket officials and a phone call between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Sri Lanka’s President. The Pakistan government directed its cricket team to participate in the match scheduled for February 15, 2026, emphasizing the importance of maintaining cricket’s spirit and supporting the global sport. Bangladesh, which was eliminated from the tournament, will be granted a future global tournament, with the ICC reaffirming its commitment to Bangladesh as a key cricketing nation.
