The Islanders have reassigned defenseman Isaiah George to AHL Bridgeport, creating space for Carson Soucy, acquired from the Rangers, to join the team. Despite this move, George’s development remains promising, as he improved his performance this season with a 2-8-10 line in 24 games. With Alexander Romanov injured, George briefly filled in on the NHL roster but saw limited success. Opportunities will be scarce for him moving forward, especially with Soucy in the lineup and George’s entry-level contract ending in 2026-27.
