Brighton & Hove Albion fans are frustrated with manager Fabian Hurzeler’s use of James Milner, who has been brought on in match situations that seem to prioritize his quest to break the Premier League appearance record over team performance. In a recent match against Fulham, Hurzeler substituted Milner late in the game, leading to a crucial goal conceded shortly after. This decision has sparked conspiracy theories among fans regarding Milner’s contract stipulating he must be helped to surpass Gareth Barry’s record. Milner is now just two appearances away from the milestone, raising concerns about Hurzeler’s tactical choices benefiting Milner rather than the team.
