Owen Tippett scored his second career hat trick, leading the Philadelphia Flyers to a 7-3 victory over the NHL-leading Colorado Avalanche, who suffered their fourth loss in five games. Tippett contributed an assist and scored twice in the third period, while Matvei Michkov added two goals and an assist. The Avalanche, hosting the 25th reunion of their 2001 Stanley Cup champions, saw Cale Makar, Parker Kelly, and Victor Olofsson score, but goalie Mackenzie Blackwood allowed six goals on 19 shots. The Flyers will face the New York Islanders next, while the Avalanche play at Toronto on Sunday.
