The Los Angeles Angels have re-signed third baseman Yoán Moncada to a one-year, $4 million contract after he played 84 games in 2025, posting his best offensive numbers in five years with a .234/.336/.448 line, 12 homers, and 35 RBIs. Despite his struggles defensively, ranking among the worst third basemen, the Angels hope he can regain form in 2026. Moncada’s return allows first-round draft pick Christian Moore to shift to second base. The Angels, coming off consecutive 90-loss seasons, have also made several other marginal signings this winter.
