Chicago Cubs Hall of Fame Inductions
At the Cubs Convention Opening Ceremony, Executive Chairman Tom Ricketts announced that former catcher Jody Davis and pitcher Jon Lester will be inducted into the Cubs Hall of Fame this year, alongside broadcaster Vince Lloyd, who will receive a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award. They represent significant eras in Cubs history, with Davis noted for his role in the 1984 team and Lester for his impact during the 2016 World Series championship. Lloyd, the beloved broadcaster, served the Cubs for 34 seasons and is remembered for his iconic calls. The induction ceremony will occur at Wrigley Field in 2026, expanding the Hall of Fame to 68 plaques honoring key figures in Cubs baseball.
