The New York Yankees acquired left-handed pitcher Ryan Weathers from the Miami Marlins for four prospects to strengthen their rotation, which will be without Gerrit Cole and Carlos Rodón at the start of the season. Weathers, 26, had a 3.99 ERA in eight starts last year, following injury challenges. Miami received outfielders Brendan Jones and Dillon Lewis and infielders Dylan Jasso and Juan Matheus, all between 21 and 23 years old. Weathers is eligible for arbitration and signed a one-year, $1.35 million contract, aiming for free agency after the 2028 World Series.
