PITTSBURGH — Dave Giusti, a former MLB reliever who played 15 seasons and contributed to the Pittsburgh Pirates’ 1971 World Series victory, has passed away at 86. Giusti, who had a career record of 100-93 and a 3.60 ERA, led the National League with 30 saves in 1971 and made one All-Star appearance in 1973. He played seven seasons with the Pirates, amassing 133 saves, and concluded his career with stints at Oakland and the Chicago Cubs. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, and four grandchildren.
