The 49ers are expected to face the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football without star tight end George Kittle, who is “highly unlikely” to play due to a sprained ankle, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Kittle did not practice all week and was injured in the Week 16 game against the Colts. General manager John Lynch indicated that Kittle’s recovery is going well, making him a game-time decision. Meanwhile, wide receiver Ricky Pearsall is expected to play despite his questionable status.
