The Mets have outrighted Brandon Waddell to Triple-A after he went unclaimed off waivers. Waddell, who returned on a one-year major league deal this offseason, was designated for assignment to accommodate C Drew Romo. Although he will start the season with Syracuse, he could be called up to the majors if needed. Last season, Waddell performed well in 11 games with a 3.45 ERA over 31.1 innings.
