The Chicago White Sox are close to finalizing an agreement with Carlos Rodriguez to become their new assistant general manager, as reported by James Fegan of Sox Machine. Rodriguez joins the team after a 15-year tenure with the Tampa Bay Rays, where he advanced through the international scouting ranks and served as AGM before stepping down at the end of the 2025 season. He is expected to have diverse responsibilities, contributing to both international operations and MLB decision-making. Rodriguez will work alongside fellow assistant GMs Josh Barfield and Jin Wong under front office leader Chris Getz.
