The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have placed cornerback Zyon McCollum on injured reserve due to a hip injury sustained during a game against the Falcons, sidelining him for the rest of the regular season and potentially the first playoff game if the team advances. In response, the Buccaneers signed linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. from the Colts’ practice squad and swapped defensive tackle C.J. Brewer onto the practice squad for wide receiver Brandon Johnson. McCollum, a fifth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, recorded 65 tackles and one interception in 2025. He was in the final year of his rookie deal and recently signed a three-year, $48 million extension.
