The Tampa Bay Rays announced that right-hander Brian Van Belle cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Durham after being designated for assignment. Van Belle, who recently underwent elbow surgery that will sideline him for the entire 2026 season, made four MLB appearances with a 3.17 ERA in Triple-A this year and could return for Spring Training in 2027.
