NFL Playoff Picture is a weekly look at the teams jockeying to secure their shot to make it to Super Bowl LX.
AFC
| Seed | Team | Division | Record |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Colts | South | 8-2 |
| 2 | Broncos | West | 8-2 |
| 3 | Patriots | East | 8-2 |
| 4 | Steelers | North | 5-4 |
| 5 | Chargers | West | 7-3 |
| 6 | Bills | East | 6-3 |
| 7 | Jaguars | South | 5-4 |
The three top teams in the NFL, Colts, Broncos, and Patriots, all with 8-2 records, are currently leading the AFC playoff picture, while the Chiefs, Texans, and Ravens are outside the playoff spots. In the NFC, the Seahawks lead with a 7-2 record, followed closely by the Eagles and Packers, with the Bears poised to return to the playoffs.
In the hunt
| Seed | Team | Division | Record |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | Chiefs | West | 5-4 |
| 9 | Texans | South | 4-5 |
| 10 | Ravens | North | 4-5 |
The Kansas City Chiefs, Houston Texans, and Baltimore Ravens all made the playoffs last season but wouldn’t reach the postseason if the 2025 campaign ended today. Though they sit third in the West, the Chiefs still have a 73% chance of going to the playoffs, according to The Athletic.
NFC
| Seed | Team | Division | Record |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Seahawks | West | 7-2 |
| 2 | Eagles | East | 6-2 |
| 3 | Packers | North | 5-2-1 |
| 4 | Buccaneers | South | 6-3 |
| 5 | Rams | West | 7-2 |
| 6 | Lions | North | 6-3 |
| 7 | Bears | North | 6-3 |
The Seattle Seahawks have won four in a row – including Sunday’s 44-22 triumph over the Arizona Cardinals – and have the NFC’s No. 1 seed, at least temporarily. The Philadelphia Eagles can retake that top spot with a victory over the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football.
In the hunt
| Seed | Team | Division | Record |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | 49ers | West | 6-4 |
| 9 | Panthers | South | 5-5 |
| 10 | Vikings | North | 4-5 |
The NFC North would send three teams to the playoffs once again if the season ended today. Only this time, the Chicago Bears – not the Minnesota Vikings – would join the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions. Chicago hasn’t reached the postseason since 2020.
Projected NFL draft order
| Pick | Team |
|---|---|
| 1 | Titans |
| 2 | Saints |
| 3 | Giants |
| 4 | Browns |
| 5 | Jets |
| 6 | Raiders |
| 7 | Dolphins |
| 8 | Commanders |
| 9 | Bengals |
| 10 | Rams (via Falcons) |
The New Orleans Saints and New York Jets both claimed their second wins of the season Sunday, leaving the 1-8 Tennessee Titans projected to have the top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Tennessee chose quarterback Cam Ward first overall in 2025 and could become the first team since the Jacksonville Jaguars (2021-22) to have the No. 1 selection in back-to-back years.
