The Tampa Bay Rays have promoted Hamilton Marx to assistant general manager, succeeding Carlos Rodriguez, who recently stepped down. Marx, with a 12-year tenure at the organization and previous roles including vice president of baseball process/strategy, will oversee both amateur scouting operations while continuing his work on arbitration and contracts, joining fellow assistant GMs Chanda Lawdermilk, Will Cousins, and Kevin Ibach under president of baseball operations Erik Neander.
