The San Francisco 49ers held tryouts for several free agents on Tuesday, including defensive linemen Tommy Akingbesote, Shakel Brown, Michael Dwumfour, Bruce Hector, Jah Joyner, and DeMarcus Walker, as well as linebacker Jonathan Garvin. Garvin, a former seventh-round pick by the Packers, previously played in the XFL and had a brief stint with the 49ers before being released.
