The Washington Commanders have traded running back Brian Robinson to the San Francisco 49ers for a 2026 sixth-round pick, retaining part of his $3.4 million salary. Robinson, who has 2,329 rushing yards in three seasons, will serve as backup to Christian McCaffrey, while the Commanders’ backfield now includes veteran Austin Ekeler and rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt.
