Commissioner Roger Goodell assured fans that ESPN’s acquisition of NFL RedZone will not alter its current format, which will still be produced by the NFL. However, ESPN plans to expand the RedZone concept to other sports, particularly college football, creating a comprehensive platform for fans, which could also benefit the NFL as it owns 10 percent of ESPN.
