Britain’s Amari Williams has been drafted into the NBA by the Boston Celtics as the 46th overall pick, becoming the third English-born active player in the league. A 7ft centre who spent his college career at Drexel and Kentucky, he averaged 10.9 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists last season, adding much-needed depth to the Celtics’ front court.
