The Samsung Lions of the Korea Baseball Organization have signed right-hander Gerson Garabito, following his release by Texas to facilitate the move. Garabito, 29, had a challenging stint with the Rangers, posting a 5.77 ERA over 34 1/3 innings in the past two seasons and struggling at Triple-A Round Rock with an 8.53 ERA in 10 starts this year, although he had a better 3.42 ERA last season. Meanwhile, righty Denyi Reyes was released after suffering a stress reaction in his foot, ending his disappointing run with the Lions after a decent 2024 season.
