Tom Rafferty, a former offensive lineman for the Dallas Cowboys, passed away at the age of 70 after a long hospitalization following a stroke.
Drafted in 1976, Rafferty played 14 seasons, starting 182 out of 203 games, including 167 consecutive starts, and was instrumental in the Cowboys’ Super Bowl XII victory. Despite battling transverse myelitis for 17 years, he demonstrated remarkable perseverance, refusing to use a wheelchair and eventually learning to walk again.
