The White Sox have selected the contract of catcher Kyle Teel, optioning fellow catcher Korey Lee to Triple-A Charlotte, while designating right-hander Ryan Cusick for assignment to free up a 40-man roster spot. Cusick, 25, was claimed off waivers just two days prior and may clear waivers again, as he has struggled with a 6.75 ERA in 14 2/3 Triple-A innings this season. Originally a first-round pick by Atlanta in 2021, Cusick has faced challenges in development and was recently moved to a relief role, showing potential with a 1.73 ERA in his final 26 innings last year.
