The Chicago White Sox announced the promotion of catching prospect Kyle Teel, who entered the 2025 season as the 26th-ranked prospect and third-best catching prospect in baseball, according to MLB Pipeline. Teel excelled with the Charlotte Knights, posting a .295 batting average, .394 on-base percentage, .492 slugging percentage, eight home runs, and 30 RBIs in 50 games. In related roster moves, the White Sox optioned catcher Korey Lee to Triple-A and designated right-hander Ryan Cusick for assignment, following Teel’s acquisition from the Boston Red Sox last December.
