Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto is being evaluated after sustaining a groin injury from a foul tip during the ninth inning of Wednesday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays, which the Phillies lost 2-1. Manager Rob Thomson reported that Realmuto was being examined by a doctor and mentioned that Realmuto stated he has “had worse.” If Realmuto requires additional recovery time, Rafael Marchán will likely assume full-time catching duties, as the only other catcher on the roster, Garrett Stubbs, is currently in Triple-A.
