Mets right-hander Frankie Montas had his rehab assignment moved to Triple-A Syracuse, where he struggled against the Blue Jays’ affiliate, allowing five runs on eight hits, including three home runs to Will Robertson, over four-plus innings. Despite his tough outing, Montas completed the assignment and may need just one more rehab appearance before rejoining the Mets’ roster. In relief, top prospect Nolan McLean impressed with six strikeouts over four innings, allowing two runs and lowering his season ERA to 2.63.
