Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett is focused on winning the Stanley Cup rather than his upcoming contract negotiations, stating that everything else is on the back burner during the playoffs. As a potential highly sought-after free agent this summer, Bennett, who has scored 10 goals in the playoffs, may receive a significant raise from his current $4.425 million cap hit, with the Panthers projected to have around $19 million in cap space. Panthers GM Bill Zito indicated that contract discussions can wait until after the Stanley Cup Final against the Edmonton Oilers.
