Boston Red Sox right-hander Richard Fitts is aiming to end a historic 0-8 losing streak when he pitches against the Los Angeles Angels in the series opener. Despite posting an impressive 2.21 ERA over his first eight career starts, Fitts is the first pitcher in MLB history to have an ERA under 3.00 while his team remains winless in that span since the stat became official in 1913. Fitts, acquired in a trade with the Yankees, has been a bright spot for the struggling Red Sox, with a 2.70 ERA this season and a scheduled first pitch at 7:10 p.m. ET.
