Wide receiver Darnell Mooney had a strong first season with the Falcons, catching 64 passes for 992 yards and six touchdowns after signing a three-year contract. Previously, he had mixed results with the Bears, but Falcons wide receivers coach Ike Hilliard noted that Mooney “re-introduced himself to the league” last year and expects him to contribute even more this season as a vertical threat and veteran presence.
