Evan Phillips, a reliever for the Los Angeles Dodgers, will undergo Tommy John surgery on June 4 to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow, as announced by manager Dave Roberts. This surgery typically requires a rehabilitation period of 12 to 18 months, which could result in Phillips missing the entire 2026 season, in addition to the remainder of this year. His injury is part of a concerning trend for the Dodgers, who have seen four pitchers require Tommy John surgery since the start of 2024, exacerbating their current pitching staff issues with 14 pitchers on the injured list.
