CLEVELAND — Mike Trout is expected to be activated off the injured list on Friday ahead of the Los Angeles Angels’ game against the Cleveland Guardians, following a stint of 26 games missed due to a bone bruise in his left knee. Trout, a three-time AL MVP, has not played since April 30 and has struggled with injuries in recent years, missing 404 of the Angels’ last 664 games. Before his injury, he had a batting average of .179 with nine home runs and 18 RBIs in 29 games this season, as the Angels seek to break a five-game losing streak.
