Right-hander Shaun Anderson cleared waivers after being designated for assignment by the Angels, briefly elected free agency, and quickly re-signed with the Halos on a minor league deal. The 30-year-old pitched 10 innings for the Angels, allowing seven runs on 14 hits with 10 strikeouts, while increasing his changeup usage to a career-high 23.3%. Despite a 6.11 ERA in his MLB career, Anderson, who has experience across eight teams, will continue as a versatile depth arm for the Angels after a stint as a starter in Triple-A Salt Lake.
