The Orioles have selected the contract of right-hander Matt Bowman and optioned Yaramil Hiraldo to Triple-A Norfolk, following an announcement from the team. Bowman, 33, returns for his second stint with the Orioles after posting 4 2/3 shutout innings in the minors, having previously been designated for assignment; he has a 5.19 ERA over 16 games this season. Additionally, infielder/outfielder Terrin Vavra cleared waivers and accepted an outright assignment to Triple-A after being designated for assignment.
