Aaron Nola’s recovery from a right ankle sprain is progressing slower than expected, with no bullpen session planned for this weekend due to ongoing soreness. Phillies manager Rob Thomson noted that Nola, who was placed on the 15-day injured list on May 16, still feels tenderness, prompting a cautious approach. Additionally, Edmundo Sosa is day-to-day after injuring his left wrist, which resulted in Bryson Stott starting in his place against a left-handed pitcher, as Sosa has had success against lefties this season.
