The San Francisco 49ers have signed veteran kicker Greg Joseph to a one-year contract to create competition for incumbent kicker Jake Moody, who struggled last season with a 70.6% accuracy rate. Joseph, a six-year NFL veteran, has made 116 of 141 field-goal attempts in his career and kicked for three teams last season.
