The Patriots made roster changes by signing defensive tackle Isaiah Iton, guard Mehki Butler, and defensive tackle Wilfried Pene, while waiving undrafted rookie tackle Cole Birdow. Iton, who was on the Titans’ practice squad last season, is undrafted from Rutgers, while Butler started 38 games at Arkansas State, and Pene recorded 33 tackles and 3.5 sacks in his final season at Virginia Tech. Pene, an international player born in France, qualifies for a roster exemption.
