Jaylon Smith is continuing his NFL comeback by signing with the Las Vegas Raiders after a successful veteran tryout at the team’s rookie minicamp. This marks Smith’s second stint with the Raiders; he previously played one game with them in 2023 and was previously with the Giants under Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham in 2021. A second-round pick in the 2016 draft, Smith has played 88 career games, recording 11.0 sacks, two interceptions, and various defensive statistics while playing for the Cowboys, Giants, Packers, and Raiders.
