Commanders General Manager Adam Peters, who previously worked for the 49ers, is targeting wide receiver Deebo Samuel this offseason based on insights gained during a lunch with 49ers GM John Lynch at the combine. Peters believes Samuel will enhance their offense, as his ability to make plays in space will be complemented by quarterback Jayden Daniels’s quick release, along with Samuel’s strong leadership and competitive nature. Despite the challenges of 2025, Peters sees Samuel as a key component in building on the Commanders’ unexpected success in 2024.
