The Kansas City Chiefs have signed first-round offensive tackle Josh Simmons to a rookie contract, becoming the first of the team’s draft picks to do so. Simmons, selected with the 32nd overall pick, is projected to sign a four-year contract worth $14,656,682, which includes a $7,299,405 signing bonus and a fifth-year option for the team in 2028. The 21-year-old began his college career at San Diego State, starting all 13 games at right tackle in 2022 before transferring to Ohio State for the 2023 season.
