The Angels have selected the contract of right-hander Touki Toussaint and recalled right-hander Michael Darrell-Hicks, while optioning lefty Jake Eder to Triple-A and placing Garrett McDaniels on the injured list. Toussaint, a former top prospect, has struggled throughout his career with a 5.55 ERA and a 13.8% walk rate, but he will be tasked with bolstering the Angels’ underperforming bullpen. Darrell-Hicks, who has a 6.75 ERA in the majors this year, aims to improve after a solid season in the minors last year.
