The Los Angeles Chargers have decided not to exercise the fifth-year option for offensive lineman Zion Johnson, as reported by Daniel Popper. Johnson, who was selected 17th overall in the 2022 draft, started all 17 games in 2024 and signed a four-year deal worth nearly $14.75 million. The 25-year-old was a three-year starter at Boston College and earned first-team All-ACC honors as a senior.
