Coaching Vacancies Consideration
Bruins assistant coach Jay Leach and Lightning assistants Jeff Blashill and Jeff Halpern are being considered for eight head coaching vacancies in the NHL, as reported by David Pagnotta. Leach, who has a year left on his contract, has begun interviewing for positions after a successful tenure in the AHL, while Blashill, currently with Tampa, has also completed interviews following his departure from the Red Wings. Halpern’s interviews will commence after the Lightning’s playoffs conclude, having served under Jon Cooper since 2018.
