The Cincinnati Reds are set to promote pitcher Chase Petty, a former first-round pick, to start in Game 2 of their doubleheader against the Cardinals. Petty, who has a solid four-pitch mix and a 3.52 ERA in Triple-A, is highly regarded among prospects, ranking third in the Reds’ system and within the Top 100 overall. Alongside Petty, infielder Tyler Callihan is also being called up, though Petty’s promotion may be temporary as he could return to the minors after the game.
