The Orioles have placed outfielder Tyler O’Neill on the 10-day injured list due to neck inflammation, retroactive to April 24, and have called up Dylan Carlson from Triple-A to fill his spot. O’Neill, who has struggled this season with a .215 batting average and low walk rates, was the team’s biggest offseason acquisition with a three-year, $49.5MM deal, but his performance has been hampered by injuries. His IL stint is expected to serve as a reset for his season as he works to recover from his neck issue.
